A new quarterly report on Homelessness in England has recently been published and shows a decrease in the number of families with children who are either homeless or under threat of becoming homeless. However, there has been a slight increase in the number of people in Temporary Accommodation and households owed Relief Duty. The 40-page report goes into great depth regarding issues such as the effect of Covid-19 on the homeless, the effect of programmes and policies that were placed to protect them. It does also report on the positives, such as how many households no longer require duties to avoid homelessness.
