Referring to the protection provide by the UK to those fleeing persecution, the House of Commons Library has released their lastest set of statistics on Asylum Seekers. The past year saw a fall of 6,000 Asylum Seekers, now sitting at a total of 29,000 which primarily arrived via boat due to the restrictions on air travel. These individuals came from a relatively even spread across the world.
