Every two years, the Financial Conduct Authority performs a survey on the spending and financial experience of adults in the UK, and is believed to be the largests survey of its kind. Last year, they conducted not just this biannual “Financial Lives” survey, but also a new Covid-19 panel survey. This was done to examine the effect the pandemic would have on personal finances across the nation, given that the Financial Lives Survey was completed pre-Covid.
