Session Aims:
To improve the knowledge of advisers when dealing with bailiff enforcement activities.
Objective:  To advise debtors accurately about their rights and responsibilities when dealing with bailiffs enforcement activity.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
Better understand  the historical context and general principles of bailiff law
Understand bailiffs powers when collecting Council Tax
Scrutinise fees charged particularly in regard to Council Tax debts
Advise on the options for debtors
Understand the avenues of complaint and how to appropriately challenge improper practice.
Who is this Course for?  Advisers who come into contact with people experiencing bailiff enforcement action
